Chat with the character

Portrait header, action italics, and a sticky composer. The writer plays that character. There is no reusable player persona attached to the thread.

Enter the room

Scene mode tracks who is present, what just happened, and asks what you do next. The opening starts streaming immediately.

You keep your moves

Voluntary actions stay yours. Detected attempts to take your agency are rejected before they enter the transcript.

Same spine as the story

When a scene sits on a project plan, the plot spine tracks progress so play and chapters share one canon.

Questions

Is this just another chatbot?

No. Chat is a character thread. Scene is live roleplay with a room and choices. Both use the signed-in studio UI, with continuity and agency checks.

Can I play without writing a novel first?

Yes. Open a character and start chatting, or enter a scene from the hub. Planner and story writer are there when you want a longer spine.

Do characters remember prior turns?

Sessions keep transcript and scene state. Project-backed play also reads the story plan and continuity ledger so voices and facts stay consistent.

Do I need a player persona?

No. Chat is written against the character card. You type your own lines. LucidPlay does not sell a reusable user persona product.
