AI Character Chat vs Scene Roleplay

LucidPlay splits talk and play on purpose. Chat is a thread with one character. A scene is a room, a cast, and a next move.

Character chat

Open a character and talk in the real thread. The writer answers as that character. There is no reusable player persona riding along in the prompt. Your lines are yours; theirs stay in voice.

Live scene roleplay

Enter a place with who is present, what just happened, and a “what do you do?” choice list. The opening starts streaming immediately so you are not staring at empty choice skeletons.

How to choose

Stay in chat when you want chemistry and dialogue. Move to a scene when the room, the other people, and a concrete objective should start pressing back.
