Writer and Studio
Writer is $12/month for longer writing and play. Studio is $29/month with a larger allowance for heavier roleplay and parallel drafts. Both have daily and monthly credit caps, and portraits use paid-plan credits. Check Pricing for current allowances; the number of turns depends on context, output length, and model.
How to decide
If you are testing a character or a first chapter, stay on free. If you are running long scenes or several manuscripts, Studio is the heavy-play plan, not an infinite one.
A free session worth running
Open a scenario such as the night-train mystery and play a few turns, choosing at least one move the opening did not suggest. Then open a story starter and press Continue twice. That covers roleplay, scene choices, and the manuscript in one sitting on Free credits.
What uses more credits
Longer context, longer replies, and mature replies cost more per turn. Mature replies use about twice as many credits because they run on a costlier model. Short chat turns stretch the weekly allowance furthest.
